Kitty Star of the Week for Mar. 30 - Apr. 5, 2003.

This week we feature Cookie. Her person-mom says,

"One day near Christmas, this black & white friendly cat showed up. I thought someone had dumped her off. The cat knew what she was doing. We were sitting in the kitchen, and she was looking in the back door; when we moved into the living room, she went around to the front of the house and looked in that window. I called the neighbors to see if she belonged to anyone. I left a message for my one neighbor, and he called back and left a message to say that the cat was his. She was out a lot and he was not home much. The cat was his ex girlfriend's and when she moved she left the cat behind. He now had a new girlfriend so that was why he was not around for the cat. Anyway, I called him back and told him that if he ever wanted to get rid of the cat to let me know as I would take her. He did not hesitate and told me I could have her. I took her to the vet and she is fine. The vet said she could be anywhere from 3 to 8 so I guess we could say 6 as that is kind of in the middle. She is a real lap cat, She also stretches out and lets me scratch her belly. She is not declawed but is great around the furniture. I am glad I have my Cookie (so named because she is black and white like an Oreo cookie)."
