Kitty Star of the Week for June 22 - 28, 2003.
Buttercup, like her friend Harry Boxlee (whom we'll meet next week),
was a resident of the Nashville
Humane Society until a few weeks ago, when her person-mom and -dad
adopted them both. "Butter" (probably the most-used of her many
nicknames) is a 3-yr-old orange medium-hair tabby, petite in build but
weighing over 8 lbs. (Her daddy calls her their "wide in the hips"
kitty.) She is very outgoing and affectionate and has a purr like a
17-HP motor. She isn't quite as energetic as Harry, but when it's
playtime, she nearly always calls the shots. Like Harry, she loves to
eat almost anything (her parents think she was given human food in
her last home), but she does fine eating just kibbles. When her daddy
is napping, she's sure to
be on or next to him. What a little love!
