Kitty Star of the Week for September 21 - 27, 2003.
Our submitter writes,
"This is Oscar, also known as Funzy Kitten; he appeared on our
doorstep in Ireland whilst we were on holiday, a very skinny little
kitten. We took him in and tried to feed him up. He spent two very
happy days in the back garden playing with the dog (Bruno) and
getting up to all kinds of mischief whilst purring constantly.
On the third day we found him in the garden being very ill and
rushed him to the vets. For the next two days we tried to help him
get better by feeding him water and milk through a pippet and
watching him 24 hours a day. We decided to take him home with us to
England so we could continue to nurse him. He travelled 50 miles to
Dublin and then on the ferry from Dublin to Holyhead, but he died
sleeping in the car on the way back to Leeds.
"We would like to tell you this story so his memory lives on.
Despite only having him with us for 4 days, he touched our lives and
brought us laughter and great joy!! And we will miss him dearly."

prayer this week for all the kitties we've loved and lost.
