Kitty Star of the Week for March 7 - 13, 2004
Our submitter writes,
"This is my kitten Belle. She's my first kitty ever, and I just got
her a few weeks ago. She was 8 weeks old in
this picture -- she's a little bit bigger now, but just as cute. Her
father's Himalayan, and her mother's Calico.
Although she looks so sweet and innocent, she is quite the little
mischievous kitten. It could be that she comes from a litter of three
other kittens, all boys, so she's like the little sister of the
group. Or it could just be the fact that she's a kitten!
"Her favourite things to do are scratch on her scratching post
(which is good for me!), play with anything that's light enough to
bat around, bite toes and fingers (especially while I'm sleeping!),
and JUMP! She especially likes her one toy, which is a fluffy ball,
on a sort of fishing rod, that I dance around in front of her.
The only thing is, she has turned it into a tug of war -- what a
grip she has!
"As you can see in the picture, she also like being around the
computer. Anytime I'm on it, she's either exploring the desk,
playing with the mouse, or walking on the keyboard while I'm trying
to type. It's really cute (but annoying when your trying to type up
a resume!)
"Belle loves being around people all of the time, she loves snuggling
when she's tired, she even sleeps right above my head at night.
I love her to death, and I really believe she will grow up to be a
beautiful, loving kitty."
