Kitty Star of the Week for June 13 - 19, 2004

This week we remember Wolvie, who passed away a short time ago. He had been very sad because he lost his littermate kitty brother. Wolvie had started hanging around with one of his person-mom's other kitties, and he followed that kitty to the highway -- something Wolvie had never done before -- with tragic results. His person-mom is devastated by the loss of Wolvie.

She wrote that Wolvie used to like to play with the plastic seal around milk bottles. He would carry them around in his mouth and bat them across the kitchen floor. Wolvie would also let his person-mom hold him cradled on his back, and he would bang his head repeatedly against her chin. And, because his person-mom lives in Texas in the country, he would love to nap in the tall grass. His mom misses him so very much.

Wolvie's person-mom cares for around 30 cats, some of whom were abandoned by their previous owners. She is an artist who wants to create truly artistic portraiture of cats. You can see her lovely photos on her website.
