Kitty Star of the Week for October 3 - 9, 2004
Vegas is a 10 year old Tortoiseshell female (as Torties almost always are) who was adopted
from the local humane society. She and her person-mom took to each other right away,
and Vegas had no trouble adapting to her new home.
Vegas is a kitty of particular tastes when it comes to water. She didn't like using
a regular bowl; she preferred her mom's water glass. For awhile she used a fancy
blue tea cup. But then one day Vegas decided that she wanted to drink out of her mom's
decorative water fountain... so now, she does.
Vegas likes to go outside and lets everyone know it with a persistent, demanding meow!
She is only allowed on the back patio, which is walled so she cannot get away. There she
enjoys the sun and playing (eating) leaves she cat get to through the lattice wall of
the patio.
One of her most favorite activities is sleeping (of course!). She likes to nap on a shelf
above her human's computer, but anywhere is good, including on a school book.
