Kitty Stars of the Week for February 20 - 26, 2005

This week we have lots of kitties all in the same family. The first picture shows Simba, Sheba, and Elsa, who are Egyptian Maus. Simba is smoke colored, Sheba is dark silver, and Elsa is light silver. All three love to jump and climb. Sheba likes to watch television upside down from the top of the TV set. Simba is a top-of-the refrigerator kitty. Elsa, who is the daughter of Sheba and Simba, is spoilt girl and "just poses anywhere and looks good."

Our other kitty in the family is Tigger-Wigger. When his person-mom sent in his photo, he wanted to wish Spencer a Happy Birthday. It's unfortunately, a Belated Happy Birthday now. Tigger-Wigger's mom wrote this out for Tigger-Wigger:

"It all happened four months ago. I was adopted by this awesome family. I landed on the living room floor right out of a cat carrier. By the way, I cried all the way home, so it was a relief to get out of that carrier! Jeez! I looked around with my tail in the air and my ears at the ready. I started slipping on this wooden floor, and I’m saying to myself, 'This is great stuff!'

"All of a sudden, I am surrounded by three Maus. Boy, did they have an attitude. They were all crouched down ready for the attack. Sheba was the bravest; she walked over and handed me a couple of boxes, spit at me, and then backed off. I said, 'Oh she’s just a big gray ball of bluff.' Then there was this sound of a low growling coming from Elsa. Simba just walked over and whispered in my ear, 'Don’t bother -- they’ll come around. I have to put up with them everyday! Nice to have you on board.' I said, 'Gee thanks, pal, nothing like a friend in need.'

"I started checking out the 'First things First' -- the Litter Box -- I've got to have one or even two of those. Elsa followed me around wanting to fight; as I passed her by, minding my own business, there she was with her little short gray paw trying to box me, and it was getting to me. So I said, 'Might as well get it over with for the record.' She kept missing, so I looked around and with my long paw, just landed a box on her ear. She spitted and growled, but since then we became friends. I even let her bathe my face. BTW, I believe that you and I, Spencer, have the same birthday month. So once again Spencer -- Happy [Belated] Birthday to you."
