Kitty Star of the Week for Feb. 27 - Mar. 5, 2005

Our submitter writes,

"This is Zeus. We, his human parents, visited the local Humane Society in October with no intention of adopting, but when we saw Zeus and realized he loved to be held with his tummy face-up for petting, we knew we needed to bring him home with us. (That was harder than we'd thought. When we went back to the shelter to see about getting him, he'd been sent 'off site' to be the next day's TV cat-of-the-week star.)

"After some initial tension, Zeus now happily plays and sleeps with his feline brother, Harry, and sister, Buttercup (who were kitties of the week in June/July 2003). He would eat human food if he could (he especially likes salmon), and when his mommy prepares any sort of meat, he asks for some with his unique meow, which begins with a warbling trill. (Unfortunately, his polite requests go unanswered. But kibbles are good enough.) Zeus loves to sleep on our bed at night, usually tucked into the curve of his mommy's bent knees, and to sleep on his daddy's lap."
