Kitty Star of the Week for September 11 - 17, 2005
Our star this week is Dessa, and her person-mom writes,
"Dessa is 3 years old. She has a personality that you don't know how
to take. We have a love-hate relationship. She is the one in control.
Her favorite toy is whatever is laying around the house. She gets
into almost everything. I have no plants, no hanging decorations,
I haven't put up a x-mas tree... I have to really child proof my house
all because of this cat. Dessa will pet and lick *you*; she doesn't
like you to do it to her. After she's had enough licking (and she
does it for a long time) -- she bites. She grabs onto your arm, leg,
whatever she gets and she bites. UUUGGG! Sometimes I want to
strangle this cat and other times she's just too cute. She's been on
4 different medications because she has what the vet says is
'aggressive behavior' -- namely, she wants what she wants and that is
it. Good thing I live alone but I do have another cat that is 7, and
Dessa just can't seem to leave this poor thing alone. She goes over
and kisses her like she's a great sister and than BOOM, bites her.
Look at her, you can just see the little witch coming out. But when
she shows you love, which is normally at bed time (her bed time),
she's a saint. What we do for our animals! ...... we're crazy I tell
ya!"
