Kitty Star of the Week for November 20 - 26, 2005
Our star this week is Piki, and his person-mom writes,
"This is my cat Piki, a 2 year old neutered male with medium long hair. Piki was born at
our house to a friend's long haired calico cat. The friend gave us the mother cat and her
kittens, so we kept her and all 4 of the kittens. Piki is the "boss cat" and he pins down
his siblings every so often, in a nice but firm way, so they don't forget who is the
boss! Piki is super friendly and whenever we have a guest, he rubs all over the person
until the guest is covered with cat hair from head to toe! People always say, "This
sure is a friendly cat!", meaning "get this furball off me!" Every night before I go to
bed, I sit on the bed and put a pile of pillows in front of me. Piki jumps to the top of
the pile and waits to get his evening massage. He expects to get a good, all-over massage
and don't forget the tail, as he especially loves to have his tail run through someone's
hand. When Piki is visiting my pet rats that are in a cage on my dresser, I only have to
say "Piki no!" and slap my leg, and he runs straight to me to get his reward of being
scratched behind the ears. Piki is quite a character and I love him so much!"
His person mom sent in the next two pictures later
and explains, "In the one picture is my grandson Caleb and in the other picture is Piki
copying the baby. After all, he doesn't want that baby to hog all the attention!"
