Our star this week is Diva, "sister" to Simon, whom we met last week.
"She is a 6 year old Maine Coon. She was rescued from the local shelter after being
abandoned by her previous owners.
"I first adopted Diva when she was 2 years old and not quite full grown. I wasn’t
familiar with Maine Coon breed, so I read information off the internet. I was shocked to
find out how large they can get! Diva is now about 25 lbs and has grown into a BIG girl!
She is definitely a gentle giant, as she will play with my other cat Simon and is very
sociable when visitors arrive. She loves to be baby-talked to.
"Her favorite toys are a laundry basket, which she will crouch down in and then spring out
of it when she is playing with Simon. She also loves to play with her Turbo Scratcher cat
toy. She loves to look out the window at the snow and the birds that fly by. She also
loves to play with the laser toy I recently bought her. She loves to eat any flavor of
Temptations treats, and when she eats them, she tends to purr and she will cuddle after
getting those treats.
"We all live in Elliot Lake, Ontario, Canada. As I write this, she is asleep on my lap."
