Kitty Star of the Week for July 1 - 7, 2007.

The Kitty Star is Feralina (aka Lina) this week. Her person-mom writes,

"I found Lina in Pet Mania (a pet store in Burbank, California). Pet Mania only adopts out rescue animals from either the pound or those found on the streets. Lina was on the streets, trapped as a kitten with her brother and brought to Pet Mania. My husband, Douglas Jeffery, and I volunteer at Pet Mania to help acclimate the ferals to normal kitty life with humans. Lina would come over for sleepovers and we just never brought her back because we fell in love with her.

Feralina

"One weird thing about her is that she LOVES my hair bands. That is her favorite toy, but I cannot allow her to play with them anymore. She used play fetch with me with the bands until one day she was really sick and could not stop vomiting. Evidently she had eaten an entire bag of my hair bands and for a mere $1,500, a vet retrieved them for me from her tummy. To this day, she meows for my hair bands when she sees me pulling my hair back in a pony tail.

Lina

"Lina, a former feral, ironically is afraid to go outside. She hates the outdoors. Her favorite things to do are watch "cat tv" - looking out of the window at the birds, eating, sleeping and giving us the best kitty hugs. She loves to talk to us and she lets me know if I've been away at the office for too long. I feel so blessed to have her in my life and I intend to keep her healthy and safe for as long as I live."
