Kitty Star of the Week for December 3 - 9, 2000.
Sasha's person adopted her when she was about 4 months old from the Siamese Rescue
Organization. They are a wonderful organization that fosters out a lot of
their cats and thoroughly test for diseases, treat for infestations or other
veterinary needs, and spay or neuter the cats if they are old enough. Sasha is 1/2
Blue Point Siamese and 1/2 Gray Tabby. Her personality and body style are
totally Siamese though.
She is very affectionate, vocal, and likes lots of
attention. She is not a bit spoiled either (NOT). Her foster mom, who has
become a great friend calls her the "kitty with a thousand
toys". She is just over a year old now and her person can't imagine life without
her. She loves her DaBird and her furry mice the best. She can play catch
with her mice, fetch them and likes to play hockey with them in the tub.
She
likes her water fresh from the tap if you please and can sometimes be found
curled up in the sink for a nap. Her other favorite pastimes are bird
watching from a sunny window and chasing bugs. Siamese are the most turned
in purebred cat to shelters. Sasha's human would encourage anyone that wants a cat that
just doesn't sleep the day away and likes lots of people-interaction to adopt
one.
