Kitty Star of the Week for April 8 - 14, 2001.

Tweak was adopted from the Palo Alto Animal Shelter on his human's birthday last year. They had trapped him outdoors, so he is technically a feral kitty, although he doesn't really live up to the ferocious image.

He is about one year old now. Tweak got his name from his habit of freaking out every time anyone walks into the room, or a loud noise happens, ... or his person rolls over when he sleeps, or air moves near him, or... Although he's much calmer now that he's lived in his home for a while, he still tweaks at something each and every day.

He used to be fascinated by the fish tank, but 6 months of continuously not being able to reach through the glass to get some fish dinner has convinced him to ignore them now. Tweak recently discovered that he could jump high enough to get on the kitchen counters. He knows he's not supposed to be up there, so he only does it at night, and leaves sponges around the house to prove he did it.
