Kitty Star of the Week for September 9 - 15, 2001.
Rebis is at least 11 years old and resides in Carroll County, Maryland.
She lived the first two years of her life in the Baltimore Arena -- where
staff members took care of her -- and she never went outside.
Consequently, when she was adopted by her current humans, Rebis never
wanted to stay inside. One day she disappeared and her humans
searched everywhere for her. Fortunately, they located her at the
local animal pound. Unfortunately, Rebis got quite sick from her
adventure and had to go to the vets and get antibiotics. Once she
recovered, she decided to stick around close to home and hasn't
wandered off since.
Now her outdoor activities are mostly sitting on the deck in the
summer (which she loves, but she won't set a paw outside in the
winter) and climbing the occasional tree.
Rebis only eats cat food, although she does have a fondness for
cheddar rice cakes. She enjoys playing with a rubber eyeball that
her humans will bounce for her so she can leap after it. Rebis sleeps
on the bed at night -- in order to pin her mom in, of course.
