This week our stars are Lucy and Linus:
Hey There
Our submitter writes,
Lucy and Linus are 6 years old. They are not only sister and brother, but also
best friends. Lucy was born in Michigan, and moved with her Mom and Dad to
Chicago where they adopted Linus. Last year, the whole family moved to
Pittsburgh. Lucy (orange) and Linus (gray) are very adventurous and love to
play in their Cat Cubes. Lucy loves to be brushed, and Linus loves to have his
belly scrached. They are enjoying their big 3 story house in Pittsburgh,
because they have tons of stairs to chase each other up and down, and even
have their own room on the top floor! Lucy has been attached to her Beanie
Baby "Wrinkles" since she was a kitten. Linus likes to hunt for fuzzy toy mice
and bring them to his Dad.

Baby has visited before and she's quite the wild cat:
We've got a return visit from Sasha and Sweetpea. They are hanging out on
their sofa, a thankfully familiar piece of furniture after their move.
During the move, however, Sweetpea wasn't too sure about what was going on.
I'm curious but feel safer under here
Lady Jane, on the other hand, is quite relaxed.

- The cat's popularity was increased in the 1800's by Queen Victoria, who owned 2 blue Persians. She frequently attended cat shows in London.
- "Cat" in Polish is "kot."
- The Balinese cat originated in the 1950s in the United States.
- "Genotype" is the onstitution of an animal as described by its genes rather than its appearance.
- Kittens during their first month only experience deep sleep, which lasts for 12 total hours each day.
- Most cats have between 20 and 24 tail bones in their tails.
- A cat's stomach normally holds 12 fluid ounces (350 milliliters).
- Cats will claw things with their front claws -- this is called stropping.
