Kitty Star of the Week for January 11 - 17, 2004.
Our submitter writes,
"This is my calico kitty Willis. She has been a part of our family
for about five years now. When my husband and I first moved in
together we decided to get a kitten. I went to the local Humane
Society and they had Willis. She was so loveable and friendly
there was no way I could leave her there. When we got back to the
house, she was a little scared and walked around crying. (Hence the
name, my husband kept asking, 'What you talking about, Willis?').
She eventually got comfortable, and became the queen of the house.
"She is very spoiled and very loved. She loves to sleep on my
husband’s feet. It is funny because he won’t move and disturb her
at night. We decided not to have children, so our pets, all six of
them, are our kids. On my birthday, and even Mother’s day, my silly
best friend makes sure all of the 'kids' get me something whether it
be a balloon bouquet or certificate for a pedicure. I am very happy
with all of my babies, but Willis was the first, and she holds a very
special place in my heart. We share a bond that is just between us!"
