Kitty Stars of the Week for June 30 - July 6, 2002.
Lucy is 17 years old. Her person-mom got her in San Antonio, Texas in 1985.
Sometimes Lucy can be a bit mean... she doesn't like to share toys, food, or
her bed with the other cats and puts them in their place if they get too close.
She loves watching birds and when she used to go outdoors, she was always bringing in the little "gifts" she hunted down for her mom. Lucy loves having her
head rubbed and has the loudest purr of any cat her mom has ever heard. And the sharpest teeth....
Lucy shares her home with Hemmingway.
Hemingway is a polydactyl cat and has a crooked tail, too, so he's
very special. He loves to play in paper sacks and catch toy mice. He likes to
sleep under the covers with his person-mom and keep her warm at night. Some of
his favorite things are ice cream, watching birds from the window, and laying
on his humans's lap. He's the most handsome boy in the world, in his mom's opinion.
