Kitty Star of the Week for April 18 - 24, 2004

Our submitter writes,

"Emil of Kattholt is the mascot of the Society of Friends of Cats in Iceland. You can find more pictures of him at Kattholt. Emil came to the Kattholt shelter on September 9th 1991, when the shelter had been open only three months. He was about one year old, when he was found south of Reykjavik. Emil had a tattoo in his ear, so it was easy to find his owner, but the man didn’t want him back! Since then Emil has been the Master of Kattholt. He is still teaching kittens and bringing them up. I have also seen him consoling worried incoming cats!"
