Kitty Star of the Week for October 8 - 14, 2000.

Sonia was adopted from an animal shelter in South Carolina. She is one of five cats who share a home with their person mom and dad who live in New Jersey now. She gets along well with the other cats, often sharing the kitty bunk bed with Sylvia while watching chipmunks and other critters out of the window. Sonia also enjoys playing with a cat teaser toy. And, of course a little sunshine or a cozy snooze on the sofa is always good.

Sonia likes to munch on grass like many cats, but she also will eat the leaves of any member of the grass family. She loves corn leaves and will try to get them out of the grocery bag!

Sonia is a dilute Tortoiseshell, which means she has colors from both the black and red color genes, except the colors are diluted -- the black becomes grey and the red becomes cream.
